“Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no Religion, too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace…You….”
John Lennon “Imagine”
With all that is going on in the world right now, it is hard to be super positive and keep moving on. It seems like after being wounded from one tragedy or sad event we are then hit again in the exact same spot with another one. It is hard to not look at the news and not feel like this world is under fire all the time.
Its hard to hear every detail of a tragic event and just go back to your normal life feeling the same way. When you look to people who are supposed to have all the answers, you either get them just as confused as you are or you get political agendas that are just some blanket statement that makes no sense. Social media is no help at all, people are talking just like politicians and talk about nothing but hate. But I look at that as them being just as confused as the rest of us and them being just as afraid as the rest of us.
In my opinion I think that people need to get more informed on something before they speak on a topic. I also think that people need to come together instead of pushing apart. Stop looking at issues as though it is a Republican/Democrat, Liberal/Conservative, Black/White issue and talk more instead of making up your own judgement without looking at all sides.
I hope that there will come a day that people will realize that coming together is more important than playing the blame game. If we look at an issue first and actually grieve for the people who’s lives have changed forever than maybe we will look at these tragic events as more than just a hashtag and a political agenda. People need to know that there is not just one clear cut answer to all of our problems, but if we come together with love and understanding maybe we could all get a better understanding of one another.
We have to keep hope for one another, we have to learn how to fight for one another as well. We have to be at peace with ourselves and others and understand that this world is changing and we need to change with it. In times of tragedy we need to come together not pull apart. We need to imagine a better world and a better society, one that can work together despite our differences.Love and peace for us all.
